Junsu, Yoochun, Jaejoong, Yunho and Changmin...
One day, they were rehearsing as usual before opening hours on stage,while their club manager was holding an interview for new waiters off-stage...
Interviews were almost finished and the club manager was just packing his things up to prepare for opening, when a girl stumbled clumsily and into the lounge, knocking over a some furniture in her haste...
Everyone looked over to her, as she was clumsily trying to rearrange the furniture that she had knocked over. Her hair, skin and clothes were soaking wet, as it had been raining heavily outside. Yoochun looked at her amusingly, as she bowed repeatedly and kept apologizing as she hurriedly dashed over to the manager.
Manager (disbelievingly): You're here for the interview? SO LATE?!!!
Girl (apologetically): Yes... I'm so sorry... I was caught in the rain... I'm I already too late?
The manager was about to shrug her off and send her off, as she was late for the interview, who knows if she'd be late for work! But Yoochun cut him before he could say anything.
Yoochun (interrupting): Nope... You made it just in time...
The girl heaved a visible sigh of relief. She really needed this job. Yoochun signalled her to take a seat and he waved the manager away, and took over the interviewing. The other 4 co-owners were sitting on stage and observing them from afar. The girl sat down self-consciously, and the interview started...
Moments later, the interview ended. The girl got up from her seat and bowed politely and shook Yoochun's hand gratefully.
Girl (gratefully): Thank you so much for allowing me to do the interview... And giving me a chance...
Yoochun: You're welcomed... We'll let you know the outcome soon... Thanks for coming...
The girl walked out of the club, leaving a trail of water on the chair that she sat on. Yoochun looked at her as she walked out. From the interview, he got to know her name was Yuri. And she was an undergraduate, and she was hoping to work here to earn some money for her school fees.
Junsu: Yoochun!!! Time to get back to rehearse!!!
Junsu's voice broke Yoochun's thoughts and he hurried back to join them on stage.

Yuri had already started working at the lounge for a month, and she was a very hard-working and diligent worker. Even though it was her first time waitressing, she did a very good job. She was very jovial with the customers, and her service was fantastic. So naturally she got a lot of tips from the customers. There were even customers asking for her specifically to serve them!
Yuri enjoyed working at the lounge, as her 5 bosses were very amicable, and mixed around a lot with all their staff. They didn't draw a very stern line between employer and employee. All the staff loved them a lot. Yuri was also very close to them. Especially to Yoochun, whom always seemed to be helping her out whenever she had trouble at work. And since he was the only one she knew before she was employed, naturally she would speak to him more than to the others. He treated her much like how an elder brother would protect a younger sister. And she was very grateful to him for looking out for her.
Her bosses also had regular fans who would come every night to watch them sing, decked in dressy black suits with the in-house live band. In Yuri eyes, she couldn't believe how her bosses whom looked as handsome as angels from heaven, and probably filthily rich, be as down-to-earth as they were. Performing every night without fail, when they could have just hired someone else to do it. From other staff, she managed to know that her bosses loved to sing, and were buddies since young, so they decided to open this lounge together.
She loved to listen to them sing too. Their voices were so heavenly together in harmony. It melted her heart everytime she heard them sing ballads, and goose pimples would spread throughout her skin. If she wasn't serving at that point in time, she would be seen hiding in a corner humming along to their songs.

One night after closing hours, Yuri was clearing the trash out the in back alley...
Ryu: Yuri...
Yuri (surprised): Ryu-oppa... How come you're here?
Yuri threw the trash into the dump, and walked over to Ryu. Ryu was her boyfriend. She knew him from school, and they had already been been dating for a few weeks.
Ryu (smiling): I came to check out your workplace, as well as to accompany you back home... Are you off work already?
Yuri (smiling embarrassedly): I'm almost done... Just let me go change out of my uniform first...
Yuri led Ryu back into the lounge. Yoochun was just walking out of the dressing room and saw them walking back in hand in hand.
Yoochun: Yuri... Not going off yet?
Yuri (turning around to face him): Oh... Yoochun-oppa... I'm going off soon... Just gotta change out of my uniform first... This is my boyfriend Ryu... Ryu... this is one of my bosses Yoochun... Can you guys chat first while I go change?
Yoochun & Ryu (in unison): No problem...
Moments later...
Yuri came out of the changing room and both of them left hand in hand after bidding their goodbyes to Yoochun. Yoochun's eyes followed them as they left. Yuri was smiling so blissfully at Ryu. It was obvious that she was totally in love with him. An uncomfortable pang of disappointment hit him.
Yoochun's thoughts: She's already taken...

A few months later...
Customer (angrily): WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU IDIOT!!!! THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE SUIT!!! GET LOST!!!
Everyone looked over at the commotion. The angry customer shoved Yuri aside and she fell onto the floor. She had accidentally poured too much wine into the glass, and it had overflowed out onto the customer's clothes. She was trying to apologise and clean up the clothes at the same time, but the customer was so angry that he had shoved her aside. The manager came to try to appease the customer, but he was still railing away at Yuri, who was still bowing away apologetically when she's still on the floor.
Yunho (calmly): Sir please calm down. I apologize on behalf of my staff, and we'll serve you a fresh bottle of red wine on the house. Please send us the bill for your cleaning expenses, we'd be glad to compensate you for it.
Yunho, Changmin, Junsu, Jaejoong and Yoochun had came over to try to appease the customer upon hearing the commotion from backstage. Yoochun and Junsu was helping Yuri up while the rest tried to calm the angry customer and distract the rest of the customers from the scene.
Customer: THAT'S BETTER! You guys should REALLY fire this clumsy waitress...
Yuri heard the customer's comment and her eyes were starting to wet.
Yoochun (concernedly): Yuri, are you okay?
Yuri nodded, and mutedly started clearing up the mess, before taking the stuff back to the kitchen. The guys walked back to backstage, to get ready to go on stage to perform.
Junsu: You should go talk to Yuri. She seems out of sorts...
Changmin: Yeah... And she's been making quite a number of mistakes recently...
Jaejoong: Maybe she's too stressed at school or at home... You should go talk to her... Since you're the closest to her...
Yoochun: I wonder if something's wrong...

Yuri was clearing the trash as usual in the back alley. And Ryu came by again. He came to ask her money. In fact, he had been asking Yuri for money for the past few weeks. Yuri was really tight-up after lending him the money, since she needed it for her own school fees and expenses.
Yuri: I don't have anymore spare cash Ryu... I don't even have enough to pay for my meals this month....
Ryu (angrily): GO ASK YOUR HANDSOME BOSSES FOR AN ADVANCE!!!
Yuri: I can't... I...
On hearing that Yuri was unable to give him any money, and Ryu grabbed Yuri by her hair, slapped her on her face, and shoved her to the ground. Yoochun had heard the commotion from backstage and came out to see what was happening. He rushed to help Yuri up when he saw her on the floor crying.
Ryu (sarcastically): Then get yourself a SUGAR DADDY... for example like this one over HERE.... I'm sure he'll be MORE than happy to obliged...
Yuri: Ryu-oppa... please... don't involve Yoochun-oppa in this... I'll give you the money as soon as I can...
Ryu (threateningly): You'd better... Or you'll get hell from me...
Ryu turned to leave. Yoochun stood up and grabbed him. When Ryu turned over, Yoochun threw a punch at his face, throwing Ryu off-guard and he stumbled onto the ground.
Ryu (infuriated): ARE YOU MAD??!!!!
Yoochun (calmly): THIS is for YOU hitting a woman...
Yoochun walked over to Ryu and grabbed him by his collar, and he threw another punch at his face. By this time, Ryu was already spitting blood from his mouth.
Yoochun (calmly): THAT is for YOU insulting Yuri... Now... SCRAM... and don't EVER DARE to come back HERE or to harass Yuri... Or YOU'D get HELL from ME...
Ryu scrambled onto his feet and dashed off into the night.
Yoochun (turning his attention back to Yuri): Are you okay?
Yuri (sadly): Yeah... I'm fine... Thanks for all your help... Throughout this time that I'm here... I guess I should pack my things now...
Yoochun (grabbing Yuri's arm): No... Who said that you're leaving? You're not going anywhere dongsaeng... You're STILL on contract with Dong Bang Se Gye...
Yuri (surprised): You're not firing me?
Yoochun: Nope... We're not... We're kind of worried for you in fact... Is anything wrong?
Yuri's tears fell from her eyes. Her pent-up emotions overflowed finally. She had been suffering for weeks, with no one to talk to. Ryu had shown his real colours after dating her for a month. He started asking her for money. And Yuri loaned it to him unconditionally. But he never gave her the money back. Once she saw him out with another girl from her school. And when she confronted him, he pretended to not know her. He was a player out for a fling, but Yuri wasn't. So he openly ditched her for the other girl in her school. But what was worst was that he still had the audacity to ask her for money and when she refused, he would hit her till she did. She had given her money to Ryu, and she had not enough for food after paying for her school fees and expenses. She was in immense emotional and physical pain and sorrow. Topped with pressure from school, her grades were slipping, and her health was deteriorating due to malnutrition. That's why her work performance was also worsening. She was too depressed to put on a smiling face to all the customers anymore. With poor work performance, her tips also lessened. It was all a vicious cycle dragging her further and further into the dark whirlpool of depression.
Yoochun pulled Yuri into his arms and hugged her to console her, patting her back soothingly to calm her down.
Yoochun: It's alright now... He won't come and bother you anymore... It's over...
That night, Yuri cried on Yoochun's shoulder till no more tears came out...

A week after...
Business was as usual at Dong Bang Se Gye. But tonight business was extremely slow. There wasn't many customers at all. Just a few couples who didn't order much. It was SO weird. The staff were all resting in the back, and Yuri was cleaning glasses in the bar. Her bosses were preparing to perform as usual, even though there were no customers.

It was unusual that she was up in the front when they performed, as she was always serving or hiding in some dark corner humming away. Now that she managed to see them perform from the front, she understood why their female fans were always breathless and hopelessly mesmerized by them...
Decked in dressy black suits, tall, handsome, and talented...

Even the customers (in pairs) watching the performance were cuddling up in such a dreamy, and romantic ambience...
Yoochun noticed Yuri watching them and walked towards her to lead her out onto the stage...

Yuri resisted slightly but obliged unwillingly, as Yoochun was so insistent.

Yuri stared at Yoochun in shock. She'd never thought of Yoochun this way before, cos he was her boss still no matter what. But she did admit that she loved spending time with him. And he was always there for her when she was in trouble, protecting her from harm. Her mind flash-backed to a moment not long ago, remembering how angry he was, when he is hardly a short-tempered person, and actually punch Ryu because of her. And hugging her for so long, comforting her through her most depressed moments...

The crowd cheered Yoochun on, while Yunho, Jaejoong, Junsu and Changmin continued singing. Yoochun looked lovingly into Yuri's eyes and waited for Yuri's answer patiently, though his heart was pounding like crazy. He was worried that she might reject him since it's so recent from her break-up with Ryu.

Yuri: Yoochun-oppa... I...
Female Customer (screaming excitedly): SAY YES!!! SAY YES!!!
Both Yuri and Yoochun looked over at the customer and smiled embarrassingly. The customer's boyfriend pulled her back down to his side and bowed apologetically at his girlfriend's sudden outburst.
Yoochun: Don't feel pressured to agree now... I can still wait... Since I've already waited so long...
What did he mean by that? Did he like her for some time already? Yuri shook her head. Yoochun's heart almost stopped. Was she saying no?
Yuri: No...
Yoochun's heart fell. She was really rejecting him. He let go of her hand reluctantly.
Yuri (grabbing Yoochun's hand shyly): Yoochun-oppa... I meant... I don't want to make you wait anymore...
Yoochun's eyes lit up. There was still hope.
