Meanwhile at the restaurant...
"Wait you're...coming???... Hello... hello..."
*sign*
"I don't know what is going on man... This is so frustrating..."
"What's wrong, Fifi?? What did Kiki say? Did she see Jaejoong-hyung?" Xiah asked worriedly.
"Ah... I don't know what is going on with those two! First she said she didn't see him at all 2 hours ago. Now she said he is on his way here. And that she'll explain everything when she sees us."
The four guys looked at one another.
"U-Know-hyung, do you think Jaejoong-hyung went to apologize to Kiki after what we said?" asked Mickey.
"Possibly... I think... Judging from his personality... He might have..."
"I hope Jaejoong-hyung wins back our blur tour guide... She's so much fun to tease..." Max added.
Everyone glared at Max.
"Okay okay... I'll rephrase my words... I hope Jaejoong-hyung wins back our fantastic tour guide... She's so much fun to be around... okay?" Max replied.
"Yes... she is one of a kind.... Isn't she?"
"HYUNG!!!"
Jaejoong walked into the restaurant, with me walking head down a few steps behind him.
"So sorry guys, that I'm late... Have you ordered? I'm starving..."
Jaejoong stopped in front of a seat and stood there.
With my head down and my mind still on what had happened before, I just walked straight on...
"AHHHH!"
I bumped head-on into Jaejoong's back.
"Oh my gosh... sorry sorrry sorrry Jaejoong... so sorry... are you okay? Are you hurt?"
In my shock I didn't realise that I was acting all concerned over Jaejoong, and was completely oblivious to the others seated at the table, who were all staring at me fussing over Jaejoong with jaws and eyes opened wide...
"I'm alright."
Jaejoong grabbed hold of my fussing hands and placed them on his chest.
"Are YOU alright? Does you head hurt?"
He rubbed my head with his free hand, teasing my hair into a mess at the same time.
Self-conscious at the rest looking at us, I lowered my head and shoke my head.
"No..."
"Good... Take a seat here then..."
He pulled the seat out and ushered me into the chair. After which he walked over and sat himself directly opposite me.
There was an awkward silence as the rest stared at us in wide eye wonder...
*grrrrrrrrrr grrrrrrrrrrrr*
I grabbed my stomache and covered it with my bag.
*grrrrrrrrrr grrrrrrrrrrrrrr*
Then I realise that it wasn't me...
"Ha ha ha ha..."
"I'm so sorry... I'm too famished... Didn't eat much at lunch today..." Jaejoong giggled, covering his mouth embarrassingly.
I looked up at him and he gave me a cheeky wink, and placed his finger over his lips and did a "shhh" move.
I smiled at his signal that he'll keep his promise. I guess he must be as hungry as I am...
"Hey Jaejoong-hyung, what's this secret code going on between you and Kiki? Are we going to eat or what?" Xiah asked.
"Ha ha ha ha... Of cos Xiah! Waiter!"
All 7 of us shared a wonderful dinner, and I could see the Jaejoong that I met in the hotel lobby in the morning again...
The one that was warm, cheerful, and caring...
The one that was happy that we agreed to be their guide for the day....
The one that I would love to spend the rest of my days with for the rest of my life ( if I can... in my dreams...)....

Serendipity 奇缘 - Chapter 5
Chapter 5: My hand
"Jaejoong... What are you doing here?"
I stole a glance at those widened eyes and then looked away.
"..."
"Sorry for breaking my promise... but if there's nothing else... I gotta get back to work now... I'll call for a cab to take you back to the restaurant where you're supposed to meet the rest of the guys..."
"..."
"Bye..."
I released the door and turned my back as it slammed back shut.
If I looked at him anymore, I might not be able to hold back my tears anymore...
When I heard the door slam shut, I turned the lock back, and dashed back up to my workspace...
"Hellooo....hellooo....Kiki!!!!" Fifi was still screaming from my fallen phone.
I took a deep breathe and picked the phone up.
"Hello, Fifi, I'm here. I still got some stuff to finish up, so your guys go ahead without me... I... I didn't... see... Jaejoong... I think you've made a mistake. Enjoy your evening with the guys. Bye..."
I booked a cab for Jaejoong and I sms-ed the cab number to him:
Your cab number is SHA3366. It'll be reaching in 5mins' time. You'd better wait for it at the lobby now. Enjoy the rest of you day-off with the rest of the guys. /Kiki ;-)

I guess it's better for him to enjoy the rest of the day with the guys... What's left of it anyway...
As for me, I decided to watch a movie that I've been wanting to watch at the office first before I left, just to make sure that Jaejoong has left the place before I stepped out...

Two hours of a soppy love story later...
*sob sob sob sob sniff sniff...*
I switched off the machines and looked at the time. 9.30pm.
*grrrrrrrrrrrr*
That was my stomach growling. When I'm watching movies, I kinda get a out-of-the-body experience, so I don't really feel hungry until I'm done. And I haven't really eaten anything since breakfast, cos I had left the restaurant before the food was served earlier the day. So I was really hungry at this time...
*grrrrrrrrrrrr grrrrrrrrrrrr*
Gosh so embarrassing... Fortunately there's no one around... Better hurry and lock up and go get myself some food...
So I opened the door and proceeded to lock up the place. Just as I was happily dumping the keys into my bag, I heard footsteps walking towards me from behind. Curious, I turned my head around to see who it was at this time of the day, since people around here didn't work overtime at all.
"Jaejoong!!!???"
My eyes widened with surprise, and I started blabbering like crazy.
"Why are you still here, I thought I've already booked a cab to take you to..."
He stopped right in front of me, his 1.8m frame towering over me, forcing me to tilt me head backwards to look at him.
"Sorry..."
"Huh???"
"Sorry... I shouldn't have treated you like that just now... I was being a total... a total... a total jerk...."
His broody eyes were slightly moist and the way he looked at me with utmost concentration made me feel uneasy. I took a few step backwards so I didn't have to tilt my head so much.
"You better get going, you're so late already. I bet you must be hungry."
*grrrrrrrrr grrrrrrr*
I grabbed by arms around my stomache, in an attempt to hide the embarrassing sound coming out. And looked down embarrassingly.
"Ha ha ha ha ha..."
I looked up and realised that Jaejoong was covering his mouth with his hand when he laughed. Then he noticed that I was looking at him, and he stopped laughing.
"I'm sorry. I'm being such a jerk. Will you ever forgive me?"
And he moved closer, looking at me with watery wide eyes that could parallel that of a puppy begging you to give it a hug.
I swallowed hard. Who wouldn't forgive someone like that???
"Nah it's okay... Just make sure you don't tell anyone about this ok... Or I'll have to "silence" you..."
A cheeky curve formed at the edge of his mouth.
"Okay. You can "silence" me if I tell anyone... But... I think... it'll be an honour to die in your hands..."
I blinked hard a few times, unable to quite come to terms with what he had just said.
*it's time for love... somebody to love...*
"All right I think we'd better go now. My cab is waiting for me downstairs already."
I turned to walk briskly to the lift. When I started walking, I heard Jaejoong start running, and when he was next to me, he grabbed my hand and pulled me along!
Even when we were in the lift, he didn't let go of my hand, and I stared at my hand wrapped inside his hand, and I stole a glance at Jaejoong.
"What's wrong?"
"Eh... nothing..."
I quickly looked back at the lift display panel.
"Level 1"
Jaejoong stepped out of the lift and pulled me along, all the way into the cab.
*it's time for love... somebody to love...*
"...eh...Jaejoong... I need to answer my phone..."
"..Huh... Okay... Answer it, you don't have to ask me for permission..."
"...erm... My hand..."
I looked at my hand wrapped in his and back at him.
"...Oh..."
Finally he let go of my hand.
"Thanks..."
"Hello..."
"Kiki, where the hell is your Jaejoong!!! We've been waiting for him for like 2 hours already... We're already like eaten 10 antipestos while waiting for him. Everyone's so hungry... Xiah's complaining like crazy..."
"Erm... He's on his way now..."
"On his way!!!"
"Yeah..."
"I thought you said you didn't see him like 2 hours ago??!!!"
"Yeah..."
"Then what..."
"...look... its complicated... I'll explain when I see you... ok... bye..."
I looked out of the window when I put down the phone, cos I could feel Jaejoong looking at me all the while when I was answering the call...
"Jaejoong... What are you doing here?"

Serendipity 奇缘 - Chapter 4
Chapter 4: The Missed Calls
Back at the hotel after a day's tour to freshen up before dinner...
"Jaejoong, why were you so mean to Kiki just now? I thought you were the one who wanted her to bring us around the city?" asked U-Know.
"Yeah, hyung, you were really mean to her just now. I mean, you didn't even talk to her at all the entire day. Well, it doesn't help that Yunho-hyung and Yoochun-hyung were both bugging her the entire day with photographer duties..." added Max.
"Hey hey, Changmin, I thought you were not really paying attention to the tour, how come you know that it was me and U-Know-hyung bugging her and not you and Junsu-hyung?" retorted Mickey.
"Cos we were bugging someone else. Right Junsu-hyung?"
"Nei, Changmin, Jaejoong-hyung, what's wrong with you today? You were so excited in the morning when we had a guide. But now you look like you want to kill somebody." enquired Xiah.
Jaejoong looked deep in thoughts.
"HYUNG!!!"
All four of them shouted in unison.
Their shouts seemed to have sparked out something in Jaejoong's mind, and his eyes show a glimmer of realization.
"Guys, I gotta go now. I'll meet you guys later at the restaurant for dinner."
Jaejoong dashed out of the hotel and waits impatiently at the lobby taxi stand, as he whisked his phone out of his pocket and dials a number.
"Come on, pick up the phone!"

My phone was ringing in my bag. But I was away in another room, struggling to fix the problematic video... So I couldn't hear the ringing at all...
Moreover, I was too depressed to take any calls...
I just wanted to bury myself in work right now, and forget about everything else...

"ARGH!!!"
Jaejoong lets out a frustrated grunt. Then he remembered something. He dialled another number.
"Hello.."
"Fifi, did you manage to get Kiki? Is she coming for dinner later?" Jaejoong asked uncertainly.
"Well hi Jaejoong-oppa, I think she's not done with her work yet. She's not given me a call yet."
Jaejoong frowned.
"Do you know where Kiki's office is? Can you tell me how to get there from my hotel?"
"Yeah I do......."
Jaejoong takes down the address, cuts the line (leaving Fifi blur and confused), and hops onto the coming cab.

"AHHHH... AT LAST... It's DONE!!!"
"Thank you so much for sacrificing your personal time, and rushing back to settle this problem, otherwise we would have been in deep trouble..."

"Well I think I'll go off first. I'll leave you here alone to lock up, okay. Bye."
"Yeah, that's fine. See ya. Bye"

Rapid and urgent ringing of the bell was heard from the editing room where I was in. I wonder if my colleague had forgotten to bring back anything.
"I'm coming, I'm coming, hold on, one minute... stop jamming the bell, it's giving me headaches!!"
As I reached the frosted door, I saw a silhouette that looked different from that of my colleague's. I didn't know who it was.
"Who is it?" I asked curiously.
Silence.
"Who is it?" I asked again.
"It's... me..."
I swallowed hard when I heard the reply. Whoever the person at the door was, he sounded so much like Jaejoong, that I felt my heart skip a beat. I thought I had gone mad from the day's surreal tour. So I asked again.
"Who is it?"
"....It's... me... Kiki... I'm Jaejoong..."
I couldn't believe my ears. How on earth did he know that I worked here? And how did he find his own way here? And what's more... WHAT IS HE DOING HERE???
*Ding dong..ding dong... ding dong...*
I stepped away from the door and ran upstairs for my phone.
*Ding dong..ding dong... ding dong...*
I fumbled through my bag for my phone.
*Ding dong..ding dong... ding dong...*
When I opened it, I saw...
50 missed calls...
*Ding dong..ding dong... ding dong...*
I clicked on the missed calls...
It was an unknown number...
*Ding dong..ding dong... ding dong...*
I scrolled down the list of missed calls. All of them were from the same unknown number. And they were all dialled within the duration of half an hour. The time needed to get from his hotel to my office. Could it be Jaejoong who was calling me repeatedly?
I brushed that thought aside. And I dialled the number from which all the missed calls were from.
*Ding dong..ding dong... it's time for love... somebody to love...*
"Hello.... May I know who called? This is Kiki here..."
"..."
"Hello..."
"It's... me... Jaejoong..."
I dropped down into my seat. I was too shocked for words.
"... I'm outside your office now..."
"..."
"...Can you please let me in? I need to talk to you..."
"...*beep*"
I cut the line. I must be too confused. I don't think any of this is happening. It must have been my own imagination all this time. I'm too tired... All I need now is a good rest...

I looked at my phone. It was Fifi. I took a deep breathe and answered it.
"Hello, Fifi. How was the rest of the day's tour?... Everyone... enjoyed themselves?"
"Hey what's happening? Is Hero at your office now? The guys told me he left the hotel suddenly, and then he called me to ask for your office address."
"WHAT!!!"
I dropped my phone, and rushed down to the door. I could still see the silhoutte standing at the door, with his head down, and his hesitating finger near the doorbell.
*ding dong*
When I opened the door, I saw the familiar silhouette transform into Jaejoong.
The one that I met at the hotel this morning.
The one that was happy that we agreed to be their guide for the day.

Chapter 3: Getting to know you? Or not?
For the whole day we had a great time bringing them around the city. Showing them the sights and sounds of our beautiful small city...
And I managed to get to know them on a different level...
Something that you can never get to do when a celeb gets too famous...
For now, they are still relatively unknown here, and they don't get recognised everywhere they go. Unlike in Korea where they are probably mobbed everywhere they go...
As a result, the celeb strays further and further sway from the fans, as he or she grows "more huge"...
Anyway, a brief intro on how the guys are like...
U-Know is the 2nd oldest of the group, but he is the group leader. He is the most outgoing, outspoken, and optimistic guy I had ever met... I can say he oozes self-confidence in everything he does... But it can seem conceited to some, but I think he's just confident and optimistic...
Max is the youngest in the group, and the baby of the group. But he is the most quiet and obedient celeb ever... According to the guys, and from my observations, he doesn't party at all, he just likes to read a lot, and play computer games... For the entire period of the tour, he was either reading up on the travel brochures to check out which place he'd like us to bring him next, or he's busy playing with his Sony PSP when he's bored...
Mickey is the 2nd youngest in the group, and he seems to be the "romantic playboy" of the group. I guess he knows that he looks good, so he likes to flirt with anything in a skirt... Well nothing wrong with a friendly flirt with interested girls, but then it can get rather irritating sometimes... However, I still think he is quite a nice guy though...
Xiah is the 3rd youngest in the group, he is older than Mickey, and he is the definitely the Mr Nice Guy in the group... With his soft and gentle voice, he always seems to be smiling when we're introducing the various places of interests. And even when the info is wrong and Max corrects us (cos he's been reading the travel guides), and I'm scratching my head with a blur and embarrassed look, Xiah will just smile at the mistake and divert the conversation to save us...
Jaejoong (as I'd prefer to call him, instead of Hero or YoungWoong) is actually the oldest in the group. I don't know why they didn't let him be the leader instead... Especially when he has a better sculpted body than U-Know (not that I've seen it before, but from pictures of them online), and he can sing better...
Getting to know him is a confusing experience...
He seems to be an enigma to me at times...
He can look so elated with joy at one time (when I agreed to be their tour guide for the day), and immediately at the next he can look all moody and deep in thoughts (throughout the entire tour)...
And him being my fave in the group, I can't help but notice that he didn't talk to me at all throughout the entire tour...
Fifi was busy entertaining Max and Xiah. And U-Know and Mickey were just flooding me with questions about this and that, and making me be their private photographer as they posed location after location...
And once when I was finally "free", and I thought I noticed Jaejoong looking over at us, but when I tried to walk over to Jaejoong to speak to him, he walked away to join the guys...
That was when I felt I really shouldn't have agreed to go on this surreal tour... Cos he really doesn't seem to be enjoying himself, and it made me feel bad for ruining his day-off...
So I decided that I would try to make up some excuse for Fifi and myself to leave after lunch...
*it's time for love...somebody to love...*
My handphone was ringing during lunch. Everyone looked up at me when they heard my ringtone.
".... So sorry, excuse me, I gotta take a phone call, you guys enjoy the food..."
Embarrassed, I took it out hurriedly and excused myself to take the call.
"Hey Kiki, you gotta come back to office, there's some problem with the video, we can't play it at all!"
I'd never knew that what I thought of could come true so fast... There was some problems at work and I had to rush back to settle the issue immediately... I looked over at TVXQ and Fifi... Maybe I should leave, and let Fifi carry on if she wants to, I cannot stand seeing Jaejoong look so depressed anymore...
"Alright... I'll come back now... I'll see you in a bit..."
Reluctantly, I walked back to the table and broke the bad news to the guys.
"I'm so sorry guys, I gotta leave to rush back now to settle some issues at work now. Fifi can carry on bringing you guys around... if you don't mind... so sorry..."
"WHAT!!! You're LEAVING???!!!" Fifi exclaimed.
All five of them look at me in disbelief. Except Jaejoong who was playing with his food.
"So sorry Fifi, I can't leave my colleagues in the lurch, I gotta rush back now... I'm sorry..."
"*sign* I guess so... Give me a call when you're done, maybe we can meet up or something..."
I gather my things, and stand to leave.
"The lunch will be on me. Thanks for such a wonderful day. I'll get the bill first, you guys enjoy your lunch... And the rest of the day... Bye..."
"Thanks for everything Kiki, you've been a great guide!"
U-Know stood up to give me a hug, and following his cue, so did the rest.
Except, Jaejoong.
I stole a glance at Jaejoong, and I saw him still playing with his food. Gosh he must be really in a bad mood...
"Hey Jaejoong, aren't you going to thank Kiki for bringing us around for the day?" asked U-Know.
Jaejoong continued playing with his food.
"It's alright guys, I really gotta go... All the best for the signing tomorrow... bye..."
I turned and walked towards the cashier. As I was paying the bill, I felt my eyes burning up. The image of Jaejoong playing with his food and ignoring everyone else stuck in my mind, I couldn't wipe it away. And it was making me feel extremely depressed...
I don't know what happened along the way that made him change so drastically, but he certainly made me feel like it was something I did. Like agreeing to bring them on a tour, and being such a lousy guide and host...
As I stepped out of the restaurant, I felt my eyes turning blur from the tears welling up in my eyes. Hurriedly, I fumbled for my shades in my bag to cover up my teary eyes before hopping onto a cab.
For the whole day we had a great time bringing them around the city. Showing them the sights and sounds of our beautiful small city...

Serendipity 奇缘 - Chapter 2
Chapter 2: Tour guides
The next day, we had planned to go to the hotel and wait for them again. But then Fifi was late, so I was left waiting at the lobby alone. I was SMS-ing Fifi about how far she was from reaching.
“What do you think you’re doing here alone?”
I looked up from my handphone. There he was, standing right next to me, staring down at me. It was Jaejoong. I turned around to face him and he squatted down in front of me.
“Well.. Hi Jaejoong, I was just waiting for my friend to arrive… She’s kinda late today… My friend Fifi, you remember her? Where are the rest of the guys?” I replied.
“I see… Yeah I remember her… And you too… The other guys are still getting ready. We’re thinking of going out today to sightsee, etc… It’s our day off…” Jaejoong smiled and replied.
“Oh I see… I didn’t know that… Maybe I should call Fifi and ask her not to rush over then… Since you’re gonna leave soon for your alone time… I think we’d better…” I rattled on, while gathering my things, and getting ready to get up and leave.
“Erm… you know… actually I think it’d be great for you gals to join us, since we’re not exactly clear where we would like to go to. It’ll be great to have you bring us around and be our guides… That’s if you don’t mind.”
“Us as guides??!!! Well… I can call her and ask if she can make it… Cos I’m not sure…”
“It’s okay if you can’t make it, it’s just a random thought… You don’t have to… You know what… just forget I asked…”
I took a look at Jaejoong. He had looked away and seemed surprisingly rather disappointed looking to me at my reply. So I made a decision that Fifi will probably scream at me for.
“Well… Jaejoong, I think we’d love to be your guides for the day! Just let me…”
“REALLY???!!!!!”
“Yeah… just let me call her and inform her of our plans first… I’ll be down here when you’re ready?”
“That’s great! I’ll go get the guys now!”
Then Jaejoong leaned in and gave me a hug, before he trotted towards the lobby.
“Fifi? The guys just asked us to bring them around the city today. Are you free to do it?”
“WHAT???!!!!”
“The guys asked us to bring them around the city today!”
“Oh my God! What did you say?”
“I said yes.”
“WHAT??!!! OH MY GOD!”
“So you coming? Please say that you’re coming… I can’t do it alone! I'll probably die from all the excitement, my heart was already almost exploding when Jaejoong ask me that question...”
“I can’t believe you did that! Of cos I’m coming! I’m on my way, call you when I’m reaching. Bye.”

Serendipity 奇缘 - Chapter 1
Chapter 1: When we first met...
I was with Fifi, waiting at the hotel, in the morning.
She had met them the night before when they filmed for a local show, and guest-hosted for a radio show.
After her exciting description of TVXQ, and my own listening to their songs, and their voices on the radio, I decided they seemed to be rather nice, and it would be alright for me to go see them. So it was with this curiosity, and just a memory of their voices, and Fifi's descriptions that I went to the hotel.
She wasn't even seated facing the lobby, and I was the one whom noticed a group of cute guys with a black man coming out from the lift. I signaled to Fifi for her to get a look on them to see if they were TVXQ.
You see, I had ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA how they looked like before I went. I just liked the songs I heard the night before. And it was great to finally be able to put a face to the voices I heard the night before.
It was them no doubt. And I was flabbergasted by what I saw. They looked so cute….absolutely out of the world….nothing I had seen so far could compare to them….We rushed to the lobby, but they had gone into the restaurant for breakfast. We sat in front of the lobby this time round, not wanting to let them slip past us again, and not be able to do anything.
The first ones who came out were U-Know and Max…
Not too sure now…
But they walked so fast we weren't even able to ask them to stop for a chat or a pic.
The next time it was Xiah who came out, I think.
Fifi wasn't very sure of their names, and she was fumbling to recall as I prayed hard for him to not go up first.
Luckily for us, he wasn't very good with the operation of the lift, and we had just enough time to recall his name, and for us to call out to him.
Sweet as he is, he actually walked out of the lift that he had been trying to operate for so long, and had succeeded to come and talk to us!
The most heart-grasping part for us was definitely when he squatted down right in front of the two of us, and starting chatting with us. After a short casual chat, we took 2 pics, and he left to go upstairs to take a bathe, cos he thinks he stinks from the workout he had in the gym earlier in the morning.
But in contrast to what he said, we both thought he smelled heavenly, with hardly a trace of the stench of sweat on him.
The next ones who came out were Jaejoong and Mickey, whom we didn't get to speak to much as the black man (who was their bodyguard) was beside them.

The next few days we were also waiting for them at the hotel lobby, and the manager also invited us to go to the media party and gig at a hot new pub.
And there we were standing in the front row, gazing up at them on stage as they were performing. Then I realized that Jaejoong was staring across at us and smiling rather sweetly. I smiled back, acknowledging his smile. And I nudged Fifi and told her about Jaejoong staring across at us, and she tore her gaze away from Max and Xiah, and took a look at Jaejoong, and confirmed what I said I saw.
After the gig, they went upstairs for the media conference, and we went outside to wait for them to leave after the press conference. Then when they came out, there were already a bunch of gals outside waiting for them also, but their record company people just hurriedly escorted them to their van.
In the chaos, we were kinda pushed forward together with Xiah, and he was so confused as to where he was supposed to go to. In the end, Fifi and me had to escort him to the van. But just as he was hopping onto the van, one of the record company personnel actually came up from behind us and rudely tried to push us aside, and at the same time shoved him into the van, and next thing we know we were trying to get out from the van, as the rest of the guys were also being shoved onto the van at the same time!
After the drama, we decided that we would call it a night and go eat along the riverside. But just as we were walking down the riverside, we saw TVXQ sitting outside a restaurant! We were so shocked, and we didn’t know whether we should go to them or not to.
But we suddenly realized that they had seen us, so we had to go over.
At least after they’re finished though.
