Chapter 32: Song for you, my love....

We had a delicious hot meal of soup, which Roy only served in one big bowl, and made me share it with him. He was even cheeky enough to make me feed him instead of feeding himself... Knowing that I hate to wash dishes, he took the bowl and washed everything. I tried to help him, but he nudged me aside. So I sat myself back at the counter and propped my head on my hands to look at him cleaning up.

Ying's thoughts: Ain't he sweet... Knows that I hate to wash up, and does it all for me... I don't even need to lift a finger...

Roy: ALL DONE!!!

He had finished washing up and came over in front of me and placed his face in front of mine. I smiled.

Ying: Good job!!! Thanks for the nice meal... I enjoyed it...

Roy smiled and his eyes curved to form two black crescents on his face.

Roy: Well... glad you enjoyed it... did u like e soup better? Or feeding me?

I turned and looked away and laughed.

Ying: Of cos it's the soup... You're just too lazy to feed yourself... And I had to eat your saliva too, since you didn't want to use another spoon... aish~

Roy: Oh I see...

He leaned forward, closer to my face.

Roy: So I guess you won't mind "eating" more of my saliva now then...

He reached forward and kissed me on my lips. My eyes widened in surprise. And he gave me another passionate kiss all within one day...

After dinner, we continued touring his house, and the last stop was his room.

Roy went straight into his room, and dragged me inside. And he sat himself down on his swivel chair immediately, and switched on his computer.

Roy: Let me show you some of the songs I've written.

He smiled and turned back to his computer and went about switching on all the switches around him for his music equipment. I was a bit hesitant, as it was after all his room, and it was my first time there. I didn't know where to place myself, as there was no other chair around, and the room was quite messy, so I just stood by the door, leaning against it.

Roy: What are you standing there for? Come over here...

He signalled me to walk over to him. And once I reached him, he pulled me down to sit on his lap, and placed one arm around my waist.

Roy: Are you ready? It's important!!!

I nodded my head.

Roy: Okay, here we go...

He played the song, and placed his other arm around my waist too. As the music played, I closed my eyes and listened to the melody and let my imagination run wild. I wondered what he was thinking about when he wrote the tune...

When the song ended, I opened my eyes and turned to look at Roy. He was looking at me anticipatively, anxiously waiting for my feedback.

Ying: It's a simple, yet nice and emotional tune... Lets my imagination run wild, but yet I can relax as the tune plays...

Roy smiled.

Roy: And...

Ying: And... I was wondering what you were thinking of when you wrote the tune...

I felt his arms go tighter around me. And he looked at me meaningfully. I looked away nervously.

Roy: You...

I felt goosebumps come up on my entire body, and I felt my heart melt when he said that word. He reached over and turned my face towards him, and started leaning nearer towards me.

Ying: WAIT!!!

And with my sudden interruption, I managed to jump up from his lap and dash to the door.

Ying: It's dusk now, I wanna go for a walk on the beach...

I turned and dashed down towards the front door. Roy smiled as he heard my hurried footsteps away from him.

Roy's thoughts: Ha ha... she always catch me unaware and gives me a surprise attack....

After strolling along the beach for a while, Roy placed down a blanket on the beach, and we laid down on the blanket over the sand, under the stars. And I put my head on Roy's chest . I could hear the steady beat of his heart. He reached his hand over and took mine into his hands. He linked my fingers together with his, and I closed my eyes to rest my tired eyes.

Chapter 43: Let's Catch the Thief!!!!

Max and Micky reached the house. When they wanted to enter the house, they heard some noises coming from Kiki's apartment. They knew that it could not be Theo who was in there as she was still out with U-know. It also could not be Fifi as Xiah took her out, and they would not come back so soon. And Kiki was out working.

Max: Hyung, did you hear noises coming from Nuna's apartment?

Micky: Yeah, I did. And I don't think there would be anyone home at this moment. All of them has gone out. It also could not be Jaejoong-hyung as I don't think he has the keys.

Max: You want to find out who's that? I think it may be a thief inside the house.

Micky: Okay. But, we must be prepared first. We shall go back and take some baseball bat, in case the thief is armed.

Max and Micky went back to their apartment. Micky started to find searched the whole house for some baseball bat, but could not find any.

Micky: Max, I don't think we have baseball bats in the house. The only thing I can find is Xiah's soccer ball and Jaejoong's dumbbells. I don't think any of us in the house play baseball. I think we have to find something else.

Max: HYUNG!!!!!!

Micky: Sorry. It slip my mind that no one in the house plays baseball.

Max: Never mind. I think we could get the brooms. It should be safe enough to protect ourselves.

Micky: Alright.

Max and Micky grabbed those broomsticks as weapon and headed to Kiki's house. Micky grabbed the thickest broomstick. The both of them stood outside Kiki's apartment door anxiously, each not knowing what to do.

Micky: Max, why don't you press the doorbell? Then, once you pressed it, we will move to the side of the door so the thief can't see us. How about that?

Max: But, Hyung, why don't you press the doorbell? I don't want to press it.

Micky: You are taller and you have longer legs, so you can run faster. Quick Max, go and press the bell, I'll hide at the side first.

Micky pushed Max to right in front of the door bell and stood at the side of the door. Max gave Micky a "I don't want to do it" look. But, Micky just shot back a stern look, hinting to Max that he should do it.

Max(mumbled to himself) : Am I supposed to do this dirty job. This is so unfair.

Max did not have a choice, all he could do was to press the doorbell and run to the side of the door. Max counted silently in his heart, and pressed the doorbell at the count of three. Then, he quickly moved to stand beside Micky.

The door openly slowly. Micky and Max were waiting patiently for the 'thief' to appear. A guy started to walk out of the apartment. Micky gave Max a sign and both of them started to hit the guy with all their might.

Jaejoong: OUCH!!!!!! WHO'S THAT? STOP IT!!!! HELP!!!! STOP HITTING ME!!!!!

Both Micky and Max did not know that it was Jaejoong as Jaejoong's hands were covering his head and could not see who his attacker was. The continuous hitting of the broom on Jaejoong made it even harder for him to retaliate.

Micky: MAX!!!! Don't stop hitting that thief!!! I'll call the police while you hit him.

Max: Hyung!!! I can't handle this myself. If we continue to hit him, I'm afraid that he will die in our hands. I don't want to be a murderer. Hyung, why don't you hit him while I call the police.

Micky: How can you defy your Hyung, huh?

From the short conversation going go between Micky and Max, Jaejoong immediately recognised the voices.

Jaejoong: MAX!!! MICKY!!!! IT'S ME, JAEJOONG-HYUNG!!!! STOP IT!!!!!!!

When both Micky and Max heard the word 'Jaejoong-hyung', both of them stopped hitting him, and dropped the broomstick on the ground. Jaejoong started to lift his head up. The guys were shocked to see that the person who they were hitting was Jaejoong. Both Micky and Max felt really guilty, but at the same time embarrassed.

Micky: Hyung, mianeyo. We did not know it was you. We thought that Kiki's apartment was broken into.

Max: Yeah, Hyung. We really didn't know it was you. If it was you, we won't hit you. Honestly, we thought that it was a burglar. Hyung, mianeyo.

Seeing that both Micky and Max were so apologetic and guilty, Jaejoong felt bad too. Micky and Max were just being concerned and there was no reason why he should blame them for hitting them.

Jaejoong: Alright, I'll forgive you. But....

Before Jaejoong could finish his sentence, Kiki heard the commotion going on outside the house and came out on her swivel chair as she shouted for Jaejoong.

Kiki: Joongie!! What's happening? Why do I heard you screaming?

Jaejoong: Kiki!!! Why did you come out? Didn't I tell you to stay and rest on the bed?

Kiki: Joongie, I was worried. I thought I heard you screaming for help, so I came out. Are you really alright?

Jaejoong: I'm really alright, yeobo. You don't have to worry about me. It worries me even more when you come out of the room with your injured ankle. You don't want me to worry right.

At this point, Micky and Max were a little embarrassed when they heard the conversation going on between Jaejoong and Kiki. Goosebumps were all over their body. Kiki and Jaejoong were so engrossed in their own world that they had forgotten that Micky and Max were still around.

Both Micky and Max stepped aside and discussed which one of them should interrupt to stop this pair of lovebirds from their sweet talk.

Kiki: Joongie, I was just worried. I was so worried when you screamed for help. I thought there was something bad happening. I just need to find out.

Jaejoong: I know you are worried. But don't forget something, I'm Youngwoong Jaejoong. I'm the Hero, so nothing can happen to me.

Micky and Max: HYUNG!!!! HYUNG-SOO NIM!!!!! STOP IT!!!!!!!!!

Micky and Max screamed with all of their might.

Kiki was totally clueless by the words that Micky and Max used. But, Jaejoong knew exactly what the 2 cheeky guys were saying, and he started to giggle. Micky and Max thought that Kiki would be rather embarrassed and angry at the same time when they called her Hyung-soo nim, but her reaction was that of the opposite.

Kiki: Huh? What's Hyung-soo nim? What's that? Or rather who's that?

Seeing that blur expression on Kiki's face, Jaejoong could not take it anymore. He laughed really hard, and the rest follow suit. Kiki was still unable to understand what was going on here. She did not know why the guys were laughing too.

Kiki: Hey, what are you laughing at? What's so funny? Can someone like tell me what's going on? And don't keep me in suspense.... I hate it when people do that...

Max: Nuna, you really don't know the meaning of Hyung-soo nim.

Kiki: Yes, I really don't know. So, if there's any kind soul here, can that person please tell me the meaning...

Micky: Do you really want to know the meaning? No regrets?

Kiki: Ne.

Micky: I don't think I can tell you. I'm afraid that I would start laughing again and can't stop. Why don't you ask Hyung to tell you?

Kiki: Joongie-ah, what's the meaning of Hyung-soo nim?

Jaejoong: It... means... hahahaha.... the.... girl.... friend..... or... rather... the wife of a Hyung.

Jaejoong was trying to control his laughter as he explained the meaning to Kiki.

Kiki started to blush as she heard the actual meaning of the word.

Kiki: WHAT!!!!!! I don't want to be called that.

Jaejoong stopped laughing, as he was a little disappointed that Kiki did not like the name that Micky and Max gave.

Jaejoong: Why don't you like that? Don't you want to be my girlfriend? Or... my wife?

Kiki: It's just sound so old.... And who said that I was going to marry you...

Jaejoong: Ok....

Max: It doesn't sound that old. I'd rather call you Hyung-soo nim than Nuna. I think it suits you better.

Micky: I think so too.

Kiki's face was turning as red as a tomato as the guys went on teasing her about calling her 'Hyung-soo nim'.

Jaejoong: Stop it guys.... Don't you see that she's already turning all red?

Max: Okay. Okay.

Kiki: Max, Micky, where are the rest of the guys? I thought you went out with them?

Micky: Why don't we go inside the house first. I don't want to be standing at the door, and discussing the whereabouts of our 4 friends...

All of them went inside the house and sat at the sofa.

Max: Xiah-hyung and Fifi went MIA again, we don't know where they went too. As for U-know-hyung and Theo, they were taking a long time at the Neoprint shop, so the both of us 'escaped' back first.

Kiki: These people really know how to enjoy themselves. I didn't know they were already THAT fast in their relationship.

Jaejoong: Yeobo, I think it's better for you to go back to your room and rest.

Kiki: But.... I've been resting the entire day... I think I've had enough rest already...

Jaejoong: No buts... it was doctor's orders for you to rest in bed and not move around so much, remember?

Kiki: Okay....

Jaejoong: Oh yeah. Max, Micky, could you do go to the supermarket and buy some food to cook for dinner? For your punishment for injuring your Hyung, you're going to prepare dinner tonight. No cheating. You guys have to cook everything yourself.

Micky: Hyung, can we don't do it? You know that we can't cook.

Max: Ne, Hyung. I think it's better that we buy rather than have us to cook it. Cos you know we're going to waste the food and no one's gonna eat it anyway...

Jaejoong: You can get help from the girls. I think they should already be on the way back. Remember, you are NOT allowed to buy dinner.

After Jaejoong finished his sentence, he pushed Kiki, who was on the swivel chair back to her room and rest. Kiki turned and looked at Micky and Max in pity. They looked at her and gave a pleading look, and stared at each other in disbelief. Both Max and Micky were left with no choice but to prepare dinner. Unless Kiki could do something to dissuade Jaejoong from forcing them to do it.

Serendipity 奇缘 - Chapter 42

Chapter 42: Where Did the Rest Go?

Theo and U-know were still happily taking neoprints, and having a time of their life.

*Beep~~~~~*

U-know: I've got a new message. Let me see who's that.

Hyung, Max and I are going back first. We don't really want to be light bulbs lighting the path for you and Theo. Hahahah... Have a good time with Theo, but you must remember to bring her back to Kiki's place at night. Hahahah....

Theo: Who's that? Is it your manager asking you to go back to the office?

U-know did not know how to reply Theo. He could not show her the message. The expression on U-know face was that he looked as though he was hiding something from Theo.

U-know: Erm.... Erm.....

Theo: Why are you stammering? What's the matter?

Theo really want to know what was the message. She was dying to know.

U-know's thought: I better delete the message first before Theo wants to see it.

Theo went up to U-know. She tried to peep at U-know's message. But, before she could do that, U-know spotted her.


U-know: Hey, Theo. What are you trying to do? Don't you know it's rude to peep?

Theo: I'm sorry.

Theo looked at U-know with her most guilty look. However, deep inside her heart, she did not feel guilty at all. Instead, she wanted to look at the message very much. This time, she attempted to take over the phone from U-know, and she knew that she must not fail.

Seeing that Theo was feeling rather guilty, U-know too felt a little guilty. Theo saw that U-know was not paying much attention to her, she crept beside U-know quietly and grabbed his phone. She started to read the message aloud.

Theo:Hyung, Max and I are going back first.....

Before Theo could read the part where Micky teased U-know about Theo, U-know tried to get the phone back.

U-know: Theo, give it back to me!!!!


Theo: Nope. What's so secretive about the message that Micky sent? If you're not going to tell me, I'll have to find it out by myself.

Theo was about to read the message again, but this time, U-know was not going to let it be easy. U-know grabbed Theo's hands, which she was holding the phone, to prevent her from reading the message.

Theo was not going to let U-know have his way that easily. With the other free hand, Theo tried to tickle U-know. And, this method worked. U-know released his grip, and Theo managed to run free.


Theo was waving the phone in the air.

Theo: HA... HA.... HA.... If you can catch me, I'll return the phone to you... If not, I'll have to read the message.

After Theo finished her sentence, she ran away from U-know, hoping to see what Micky sent to U-know.

U-know: THEO!!!!! You can't run that fast......

Theo turned back, facing U-know, and she stuck out her tongue. Theo headed towards the exit of the shop and out into the streets.

U-know started to give chase. After chasing Theo for a while, both of them reached a back alley. There was a dead end and Theo was running towards that direction. Theo did not see that there was a dead end as she was too engross in turning back to check if U-know was catching up with her and did not bother what was in front.

U-know's thought: HAHAHA... There's a dead end there, this time Theo can't run anywhere.

U-know slowed down his pace, and started strolling as Theo was running.

U-know: Theo..... If you can run, you better run as fast as you could, I'm going to catch you no matter where you are.

Theo saw that U-know was slowing down, she wondered why he did not chase after her. Upon seeing that U-know slowed down, she stopped for a moment, and looked to the front. What Theo saw was a dead end. Now, Theo began to understand why U-know slowed down.

Theo's thought: Argh.... Now I know why U-know slowed down. What am I going to do now? I can't possibly climb over the wall to escape. Ah... I know what. I can read the message before U-know catch me. He can't possibly catch up so quickly.

Theo was about to read the message when U-know caught up with her.

U-know: Theo, you have no where to run. You better hand me back the phone, or else.....

Theo: What if I don't hand it back to you? I want to read your message and that's it. You can't do anything to me.

Theo started to bring the phone nearer to her face. But, U-know went up to Theo and cornered her. He grabbed her hand, which was holding the phone, and then he placed Theo's hand on the wall. The distance between U-know and Theo's face was really close. Both of them could feel each other's breadth on their face. Theo's heartbeat was so fast, and her face was turning as red as a tomato.

Theo began to feel rather uncomfortable with U-know's face so close to hers. Both of them stared at each other and then looked away.

U-know's thought: This is really getting very awkward. I must think of a way to get out of this situation.

U-know began to released his grip around Theo's hand.

Theo's thought: I better return the phone back to U-know, since he has already released his hands on me. This is getting from bad to worse. I should not have snatch away U-know's phone from him. Now, I've gotten myself in this situation. Ahhh....

Theo returned the phone back to U-know.

U-know: Thank you.

After U-know's last words of 'thank you', the both of them stood there in silence. None of them knew what to say or do. They stole a quick glance at each other and then shifted their gaze back to somewhere else.


U-know's thought: Oh no!!! What am I supposed to do now? We can't stand here for the whole day. This is not going to work. I must think of something to break the silence. Quick, U-know. Quick think of something..... Ah..... I know. We were supposed to go cycling. I can suggest that we continue our itinerary even though those 2 rascals took off without us.

U-know: Theo.... Do you... want to go to the park and cycle?

Theo's thought: Cycle. That's a good idea. At least, we don't have to stand here all day is awkward silence.

Theo: Okay.

U-know: But, there's one thing that you need to know. Micky and Max won't be joining us. They were tired of waiting for us, so they went back home. So.... Do you still want to go cycling?

Theo: Why not? The weather's good. Why waste this chance?

U-know: Alright.

Instinctively, U-know grabbed Theo's hand and led her out of the alley, and headed to the park.

At the park......

Both U-know and Theo went to the bicycle kiosk to rent a bike.

U-know: Theo, do you know how to cycle?

Theo: I know how to cycle. Don't underestimate me.

U-know: No, I don't mean that. I just wonder........

U-know started to mumble.

U-know: If you wanted to ride a tandem bike with me.

Theo: Huh? U-know, what did you say?

U-know: Erm.. Nothing.

Theo: I thought I heard something. What were you wondering about?

U-know: It's really nothing.

U-know moved away from Theo and pretended to choose a bike.

U-know: Theo, do you want a mountain bike and those with a lower bar?

Theo: Any bike is fine with me as long as my feet can reach the ground.

U-know: Then..... Then... How about... the...

Theo: U-know, what are you trying to say?

U-know's thought: I must say this out once and for all. I can't miss out of such a chance. I really want to ride together with Theo.

U-know took a deep breath, and closed his eyes, afraid to hear what Theo was going to say.

U-know: You want to ride on a tandem bike?

Theo: Sure. Why not? It's better cos I don't have to ride that much. I can depend on you. Hahahah...

U-know did not expect Theo to accept his suggestion so readily. He thought that Theo would want a bike on her on. He was really happy that Theo was willing to share a bike with him.

U-know: That's great! You don't have to worry, you can depend on me all the time. You can just sit there and not paddle and I'll do the rest of the work.

Deep in Theo's heart, she was really delighted that U-know wanted to ride a tandem bike with her. It seemed like U-know and Theo were in a movie where both the male and female lead get to spend a romantic afternoon in the park. Enjoying the presence of each other, with the wind blowing their hair.

Theo just smiled at U-know's comment and nodded her head in response. U-know picked the best tandem bike in the shop and then they were headed to the bicycle tracks for a romantic afternoon.

After riding for about an hour and a half, both U-know and Theo were tired. They rested at a bench and parked the bike nearby.

U-know got up from the bench. Theo wondered where was U-know heading to.

Theo: U-know, where are you going?

U-know: Erm... Erm... Toilet.

Theo: Okay.
