Chapter 28: Show's Declaration of Love (Part 1)

The same word kept on repeating and repeating. It seemed as though the singer did not want to stop singing unless he got the attention form his target audience. In the background, there was some guitar accompaniment. At this point, Ying had left the house. This loud singing had drawn not only Ting's attention but also the attention of Ning, who was sound asleep.

Ning was very furious. It was only 8 plus in the morning and this crazy guy singing was driving her crazy. She was tired and wanted to sleep in longer, but unfortunately, was woken up by this singing. She went to the bathroom, took a basin of water and started to walk towards the direction of the window in the living room.

"Ning. What are you doing with that basin of water in your hand?"

"Can't you hear that loud singing? It's driving me crazy. I want to sleep, but the singing is too loud. So, I'm going to throw this basin of water at the singer for him to keep his mouth shut".

"Ning!!! It's not very nice to do that".

Ning did not even bother to listen to Ting. Ning went straight to the window. The basin of water went straight down.

Splash.... The owner of the loud singing voice was all wet, from head to toe.

"Who did that????" screamed the singer.

"I did it. Could you please stop singing. I'm trying to sleep here. And your singing is driving me crazy," shouted Ning in response.

Ning could not see who was the singer as she did not wear her glasses. All she saw was a blurry image of a guy who was holding a guitar. At this moment, Ting went to the window.

"Show!!!! Is that you???"

"Huh??? You mean that guy was Show. Oppss...."

"Sorry, Show. I didn't know it was you who was singing," shouted Ning.

"Show, why don't you come up and get yourself dry up?"

"Alright. Ning, I'm going to get you for this".

"Sorry, Show. I didn't mean it. I honestly didn't know it was you who was singing".

Ning felt guilty when Show came up the all wet.

"Yeah... Yeah... Yeah.... You're lucky that it was me who got wet. What if it was some gangsta who was doing that? You're going to get it".

"Whatever. And by the way, your singing does not sound that good. I'm going back to sleep. I wouldn't want to be a big light bulb here".

Ning went back to sleep after she finished her sentence.

"Show, what are you trying to do just now? I'm surprised that you would do such a thing".

"Nothing. I'm just trying to make you happy. Actually, I've planned to do more after I've caught your action. But, this Ning. She foiled my plans. Argh....."

"It's alright. Why don't you get yourself dried up first? You can caught a cold easily with this set of wet clothes on. I'll try to find some of my baggy tees for you. You can use the bathroom first".

"Thanks, Ting. You're the sweetest. After I get changed, you want to go on a date? Me and you alone. I want to give you an unforgettable day. So???"

Show looked at Ting with those pair of pleading eyes. He seemed like a young boy dying to get permission to do something that he yearned for.

Seeing the sincerity in Show, Ting agreed to Show's request.

"Yeah!!!!!"

Show gave Ting a big hug, and started to prance around the room like a little happy puppy.

"The first stop of our date...... The Taipei City Zoo".

"Huh??? Why did you bring me here?"

"To show you the animals. I know that you have a liking for animals, so, i brought you here. But, don't worry, we're not going to stay here for the whole day. We are going to leave after lunch".

"Okay. But, after lunch, where are we going? Can you tell me?"

"Nope. It's a secret. Every thing will be planned by me today. You can't ask me why or where are we going. All you need to do is to enjoy yourself. At the end of the day, I've got a big surprise for you".

"Hmmm.... Waiting forward to your surprise. Hope that it is not disappointing".

"It's not going to be. Believe me. Come on, let's go".

Ting and Show had pictures taken with various animals, and watch the show put on by the different animals. The trip was fruitful. They enjoyed themselves tremendously. The little jokes that Show made along the way brighten up the trip to the zoo.

After lunch,

"Ting, don't peep. I'm sure you going to like this place. A few more steps....."

"Are we there yet? I'm impatient. I want to see".

"Reaching soon. Don't be too excited. I know with such a handsome guy like me bringing you to some mysterious places is going to be exciting. But, you have to wait".

Show placed his hands over Ting's eyes, preventing her from seeing. Show led the way carefully, afraid that any stones might trip Ting.

"Here we are".

Show removed his hands slowly to allow Ting to look at the grandeur of the sea. Both Ting and Show were standing at the breakwater.

"This is the place I want to bring you. When you look at the sea, you can never see what is happening at the very end of it and the sea looked as if there is no end to it. This also represent my love for you. You can never expect what I'm going to surprise you the next moment. On top of that, you know my love for you is never ending. Nothing is going to change my love for you. I love you, Ting".

Hearing these words from Show made Ting's heart skip a beat faster. She never expect Show to say such things. Such mushy stuff was not supposed to come out from Show's mouth. Ting only knew that Show is good at telling her jokes, and making her day. But, now, she was sure that Arron could not be the one for her.

"Thank you. I love you too".

Slowly, Ting moved closer towards Show. Ting planted a soft and gentle kiss on Show's cheeks. After that, she started to move away from Show. However, even before Ting could move away, Show grabbed hold of her, and give her a hug.

"I'm never going to let go of you. Not even once. You can count on me for this."

Show's tighten his arms around Ting, he was afraid that if he let go, Ting is going to run back to Arron. He did not want such a thing to happen. But, he was enable to tell Ting about his fear. Ting could be angry if he told her this. All he could do now was tell Ting how he felt and just leave the rest up to fate.

Show let go of Ting, turned around and placed his arms around Ting's waist as he stood behind Ting.

"Show.... Thank you...."

"Shhhh. Don't say anything. Let's enjoy the moment being together in each other's presence and the cool summer breeze".

Ting and Show stood at the breakwater, viewing the beautiful scenery. Each not wanting to say a word to spoil the atmosphere......
